In preparation for the Topanga Days Horse Shoe Club Tournament, starting Wednesday, April 13th and every Wednesday until Topanga Days, The Topanga Horse Shoe Club will host a learning league from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the horseshoes pits on the Topanga Community Club grounds. There will be practice, coaching, and team set-ups. So come get ready, find a teammate, and come have some fun.
On Saturday May 28th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm there will be more practice, instruction and coaching.
On Sunday, May 29th, the Tournament will begin at 1:00 pm and go until we have 1st & 2nd winning teams.
It’s a great way to meet your friends and neighbors, and enjoy the music from above. So come on out and enjoy!
The cost is $20.00 per player for the league. Each player should be a TCC member and will need to purchase entry to the fair to be part of the finals.
Last year the Horse Shoe Club donated $400.00 to the TCC, and $326.00 the previous year, as well as upgrades and maintenance to the pits area. So get a partner and start your practice. All are welcome. Trophy’s are available for 1st & 2nd place in Topanga Days’ main tournament.

We especially need weed whacking assistance if you are able to help with brush clearance. In any event, please come to help! We have a long list of things to take care of. Kids can also help with trash pickup and hand raking, weeding, clean-up. Volunteer service hours available, contact Gary at (310) 455-2463 if you have questions or for more information.
The Community House is hosting its quarterly Square Dance on Friday, April 29th from 7:30-10 pm. Our local band, the Rattlesnake Rustlers will be playing, with Susan Michaels calling again.
Once again, we will have desserts and drinks for sale. To help encourage TCC membership, which truly helps to maintain our community house, ticket prices will now be:
$20 for Non-Member Adults, or one can join or re-new at the door and the price will remain the same for TCC Members: $10 for adults,
Kids (6-12) $5
Little kids, big kids, grown up kids, the Easter Bunny loves you all and comes only once a year to Topanga (at least to TCC!)
Come and join us for
• Egg Games,
• Egg relays and egg hunts
• Easter crafts,
• The Crazy Easter Bonnet contest
• And, of course, an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
Easter Sunday, March 27, Starting at 10am
Egg hunts separated for ages 4 and under and 5+ starting around 10:30.
Bring your own basket and large spoon for relay races. Please put your name on anything you are bringing to share.
In addition, we are expecting many young egg hunters and as a nod to our Club history, are hoping for at least 10 dozen hard boiled eggs to be donated that morning!
TCC is happy to accept donations of used or unwanted plastic eggs lying in your garage or storage space for the hunt. To donate in advance and/or to volunteer to help, please email email@example.com.
As part of TCC’s Zero Waste goals, we have purchased “eco-eggs” and have an egg exchange planned for the children. After the hunt they may turn in their plastic eggs (empty, of course!) in exchange for a prize! We plan to reuse the plastic eggs we have year after year.
And a special addition this year—The post Easter Egg Hunt BBQ. Bring food to grill! Join us in a wonderful community celebration and barbecue.
